- Land ASAP.
If fire persists:
- EPC 1 MCO …………………………………………… Down.
- Land (or ditch) IMMEDIATELY.

- Weather windows …………………………………. Open.
- ECS switches ………………………………….. VEN/OFF.
- Sideslip …………………………………………… Nose left.
If sideslip is not effective and immediate landing is not possible:
- Airspeed …….. Adjust to make sideslip effective.
If smoke or fumes origin is electrical in nature and continues:
- Electrical Fire checklist (E–2–27) ……………………. …………………………………………………………. Perform.
If further smoke/fire and fume elimination required to effect a safe landing:
- Canopy Jettison (Airborne) (E-2-2) ………………….. …………………………………… Perform (left side first).
- Land ASAP.

(remaining engine, as reqd).
- Rotor Brake ……………………………………………….On.
- Emergency Egress (E–2–3) ……………….. Perform.
