  3. CBP circuit breakers ………………………………… Pull (affected equipment).
  4. Land ASAP.

If fire persists:

  1. EPC 1 MCO …………………………………………… Down.
  2. Land (or ditch) IMMEDIATELY.

Smoke and Fumes in the Cockpit

A
  1. Weather windows …………………………………. Open.
  2. ECS switches ………………………………….. VEN/OFF.
  3. Sideslip …………………………………………… Nose left.

If sideslip is not effective and immediate landing is not possible:

  1. Airspeed …….. Adjust to make sideslip effective.

If smoke or fumes origin is electrical in nature and continues:

  1. Electrical Fire checklist (E–2–27) ……………………. …………………………………………………………. Perform.

If further smoke/fire and fume elimination required to effect a safe landing:

  1. Canopy Jettison (Airborne) (E-2-2) ………………….. …………………………………… Perform (left side first).
  2. Land ASAP.

  2. Emergency Egress (E–2–3) ……………….. Perform.
