Fire Flashcards
CABIN FIRE on the ground
- Double Engine EMRG Procedure - Perform:
- Both ENG main sw - off
- Both FADEC sw - OFF
- Both fuel PRIME PUMPS - Off
If TOT still rising or engines are believed to still be running - Both twist grips - Turn to shut off
- Passengers - Evacuate
- Fire - Extinguish if possible
CABIN FIRE in flight
- Airspeed - Reduce (65KIAS recommended)
- Passengers - Alert
- Heating/Air con - OFF
- Fire - Extinguish if possible
- Fumes/smoke - Open doors/windows
- Land ASAP
After Landing:
7. Double engine EMRH shutdown - Perform:
- Both ENG main sw - off
- Both FADEC sw - OFF
- Both fuel PRIME PUMPS - Off
If TOT still rising or engines are believed to still be running
- Both twist grips - Turn to shut off
ELECTRICAL FIRE/SHORT CIRCUIT on the ground
- Double engine emergency shutdown - Perfom:Both ENG main sw - off
Both FADEC sw - OFF
Both fuel PRIME PUMPS - OffIf TOT still rising or engines are believed to be running
Both twist grips - Turn to shut off - Passengers - Alert/Evacuate
- EPU, if connected - Disconnect
- Fire - Extinguish if possible
ELECTRICAL FIRE/SHORT CIRCUIT in flight
- Bus Tie sw’s - OFF
- Both BUSTIE OPN cautions - ON
- DC VOLTS, GEN AMPS and BAT AMPS - Compare, note higher load BAT AMPS
- BAT MAST sw - OFF
If fire smoke detected
5. LAND - ASAP
OR
If fire/smoke continues
5. Respective GEN sw (higher load) - OFF
If fire/smoke eliminated
6. LAND - ASAP
OR
If fire/smoke continues
7. Both GEN sw’s - NORM
8. Other GEN sw…………. OFF
If fire/smoke eliminated
Land - ASAP
Single “ENGINE FIRE” warning on the ground
1.Respective EMER OFF sw - Open and Press
2. Both PRIME PUMP sw - Check OFF
3. Both ENG MAIN sw’s- OFF
ENGINE FIRE in flight
- OEI flight conditions - Establish
- Respective EMER OFF sw - Open and Press
- Affected engine - Identify
- Single Engine EMRG shutdown - Perform:
- ENG MAIN sw (confirm correct ENG) - IDLE, check indications, then OFF
If FIRE WARNNG light turns OFF:
5. LAND ASAP
If FIRE WARNNG light remains ON:
6. LAND IMMEDIATELY
