How and where are a person’s fingerprints formed?

Fingerprints are formed from the ridge on the tips of your fingers.

What are patent fingerprints?
A
visible prints that are the easiest to see, often caused by visible substances such as blood or ink.

what are latent fingerprints?
A
are invisible to the human eye and
often caused by sweat and oil on the surface of the finger. These are the prints in forensic investigations
that are often seen by dusting powder or chemicals over
them to gain the print.
