how hearing works: sound goes in the ear. It hits three bones which vibrate the cochlea to move hairs in it which send nerve impulses to the brain
how sight works: light enters the pupil and travels to the back of the eye called the retina. The rods and cones in the back of the eye send the image to the brain to interpret what you are looking at
