issuing a CC summons officer must
- make copy of white paper front + back of summons 2. write in memobook you made a tap recorder entry of encounter 3. 61 report must be made 4. copy all memobook stuff of every1 involved 5. file all paper work at command.
criminal court summons.
given in lieu of an arrest (sometimes). enforce criminal activity. has to be misdemeanor. at tpo i observed the defendant. can get bench warrant, in memobook write summons number, defendants attitude statements made and observations.

procedure to report graffiti
1.read it (make sure graffiti fits criteria) 2. report it-contact central, supervisors, m&o and nypd bias squad 3. record it- take pics 4. remove it- clean it up once investigations are done
differences btw interview and interrogation
interview: to seak info, no accusing, nuetral convo, no charges, 10 to 30 min, take notes interrogation: examine someone formally by questioning, accusing, guilt reasonably certain, recorder used, no time limit, officer dominates convo
purpose of securing a crime scene
- to protect and perserve all evidence 2. detain witness/suspects for further questioning 3.minimize contamination and disturbance of physical evidence. side note a minimum if 50 ft should be secured at a crime scene.
actions at a crime scene
ADAPT: Assess the scene, detain and identity witness/suspects, arrest the perpetrator if possible, protect the crime scene, take notes

they write out park vender permits and investigate venders to make sure they are complying with their permits.
