He was president of the U.S. at the start of the great depression. He believed in Laissez fair government, and the ideas that private charities should help those in need. He started the RFC.

He was a U.S. president. He was president during WWI and came up with the 14 points plan. He originally planed to keep us out of the war but then he changed his mind after the sinking of the Lusitania, the Zimmerman Telegram, and the Russian Revolution.

They were brothers who were inventors. They invented, built and flew the worlds first airplane.
What did the 18th amendment do?
It prohibited the sale, usage, and consumption of drinking alcohol.

It gave women the right to vote.
What is an assembly line?
It’s a line of workers who do one thing all in line to create one product. This was created by Henry Ford famous for making cars using this method.

It is an agreement to stop fighting for ___ amount of time. It was also a time to make peace statements.

It was the day the stock market crashed. October 29, 1929

The idea that everyone is at the same level of riches but in reality the government rules over everyone else.
what is corporation?
Type of business or organization owned by many people but treated by laws as though it were a person. Owned by many investors
What was the FDIC?
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. It insured all the money that people put into banks.
What is imperialism?
Nations are building empires when the engage in imperialism. imperialism helps the U.S. expand over seas at the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s. It was one of the main causes of WWI.
What is a monopoly?
It is when one company is in total control over the section of business. Caused by one company gaining riches and running others out of business by underselling their product then raising the price.
What is a muckraker?
Investigative reporters who exposed corruption.
What is populism?
Populism is “the appeal to common people” the populists were usually farmers and laborers who supported limitations on big business, government railroads, and free coinage of silver. They wanted power out of the hands of the rich and privileged and in the hands of the average worker.
What is propaganda?
To falsely influence peoples opinions using advertisement such as posters.
