Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
Prohibits discrimination based on disability and requires Employers to make “reasonable accommodation“ of disability without “undue hardship.” Disabled have access to employment, transportation, public accommodations, and telecommunications services.
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA):
an independent federal agency authorized to enforce employment discrimination laws, investigate allegations of discrimination, and interpret statutes by issuing rules, regulations, and guidelines

Quid Pro Quo

National origin discrimination
Prohibits employers from disqualifying a job applicant or employee if employee can, with reasonable accommodation, perform the essential functions of the job

Americans with Disabilities Act
s/he has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits the person in a major life activity.
Actual Disability
a person who has a disability within the meaning of the ADA, and is able to perform the essential functions of their job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualified Person with a Disability
assistance to a qualified employee with a disability in order to permit the employee to perform the essential functions of the job.
