A
- perceiving order in random events
- post hoc, ergo propter hoc reasoning (after this, therefore because of this)
- confirmation bias- cognitive tendency to see confirming evidence and to deny/distort inconsistent evidence.
- placebo effect- results caused by expectation alone

Operational definition
A
defining a concept in terms of how you plan to measure that concept.
-Ex: her operational definition of happiness in this case is a given subject’s score on the test. – studying happiness

Correlational Methods
A
what is related? Research involves measuring/observing relationship between two or more variables. Make a prediction, but cannot have cause.
