Usually occur later than fibroadenoma (35y+)

A
Requires imaging.
Usually aspirated to yield straw coloured fluid.

A
Benign breast diseases: fibrocystic change, chronic cystic mastitis, mammary dysplasia.

Benign breast condition characterised by fibrous and cystic changes in the breast.

No.

What are the clinical features of fibrocystic change?
A
- Breast pain
- Focal areas of modularity or cysts (often in upper outer quadrant)
- Frequently bilateral
- Mobile
- Varies with menstrual cycle
- Nipple discharge

Rx fibrocystic change?
A
- Evaluation of mass and reassurance
- Mammography every 3y if >40y.
- Rx: analgesia (ibuprofen, ASA)
