Q

Early Deceleration:
how does it relate to the contraction?
what does it indicate?

A

mirror image of contraction

Early deceleration indicates fetal head compression. May indicate cephalopelvic disproportion-

Q

Late Deceleration
when does it occur relating to the contraction?

Q

Treatment for late deceleration in fetal heart rate

A

Re-position mom to her left side
Hydration and oxygen
decrease pitocin to decrease the frequency of contractions
C-section if pattern persists

what do they look like and when do they occur?
what does it indicate?
