Similar views as functionalists and marcists, that education transmits valued and norms onto its pupils. They also believe that education is a powerful form of secondary transmit the patriarchal values.

Liberal feminists
Acknowledge that there have been many changes in education since the 1960s
Girls are now allowed to do the same subjects as boys. But is there a gender difference between subject choices.
Despite changes to how grades are calculated ( all exams, rather than coursework and exams) girls still out perform boys.
Radical feminists
Education system is patrichal and continues to marginalise and oppress women.
Difference feminists
Not all girls have the same experience of education. Teachers can sometimes have different views of black and Muslims girls for example. Believing that they may have different aspirations than white girls.
