Female glass ceiling, wage structure, sexism for performing male dominated activities.

Women are housewives, mothers and sex objects. Men don’t cry, are, providers, and fearless.

Language specific to one gender
Media representation of women
Women are either housewives, mothers or sex objects
Liberal feminism
Blame systems and take power into their own hands to stop inequality
Marxist/Socialist Feminism
Cause of inequality is people who strive to make money.
Radical feminism
They hate men.
Male gaze (Mulvey)
When an audience is put into the perspective of a heterosexual man e.g. a scene of woman’s curves.
Beauty Myth (Naomi Wolf)
The idea that the media uses certain images to suggest a ‘beauty ideal’.
The ideological message is of the Beauty Myth is…
That women should treat their bodies as a ‘project’, something that should always be improved.
