what is feminist IR theory’s purpose?
the way we view the international system is through the gendered, male dominated assumptions of the discipline which need to chnge
how have women been influential in IR
since before ‘the birth fo international relations’ in 1919 women have formed key groups to talk about international relations
ex. the huague conference and the womens international league for peace or the usfragets plan fro peace which was very similar to wilson’s 14 points

the fourth debate in international relations positivism. post positivism
feminism fits into the post positivist debate as gender is ont on objective fat. feminists believe that you need to study gender and international relations in a subjective way, similarly how people view RI is subjective based on their gender or class
