  • Oestrogen and progesterone have a negative feedback on the production of LH and FSH from the anterior pituitary
  • This therefore prevents ovulation

  • Increases the thickness of the cervical mucus, preventing sperm from penetrating through
  • Preventing implantation by reducing the number and size of endometrial glands
