Feet Flashcards
Forefeet: Strong, slightly oval shaped; well-arched and tight toes, with strong nails well curved towards the ground. Colour of nails is white, yellow or brown, of more or less dark shade depending on the colour of the coat; pads elastic and lean.
Hind Feet: With all of the characteristics of the front feet; they have dewclaws, the absence of which is not a fault.
Double dewclaw is tolerated.
Bracco Italiano
The forefeet are rather round, toes tight, pads firm, toenails short. The hind feet are longer than the forefeet, whilst maintaining the same characteristics.
Brittany
Round to spoon shaped, with well tight and adequately arched toes. Strong toenails. Tough, resistant pads. Feet set parallel, neither turned in nor out, in stance as well as movement.
GSP
Oval-round with well knit toes and sufficiently thick, tough, robust and well-pigmented pads. They are set parallel, neither turning in nor out in stance or when moving.
GWP
The forefeet are slightly oval, with well knit, sufficiently arched, strong toes. The nails are strong and brown in colour. He has tough, resistant, slate grey pads. The feet are parallel when standing or moving. The hind feet are similar to the forefeet.
Hungarian Vizsla
Slightly oval, with well knit, sufficiently arched, strong toes. Strong brown nails. Tough, resistant, slate grey pads. The feet are parallel when standing or moving.
HWV
Front compact, round. Hind feet slightly oval. Toes arched, covered with short thick hair especially between toes. Nails strong, arched. Pads hard. Pigmented according to coat colours. Never black. Dew claws on all four feet.
Italian Spinone
Tight, moderately rounded and well knuckled with dense hair between the toes, well padded. Strong nails.
Large Musterlander
Front: Firm and strong. Standing straight in relation to median plane of body. Toes arched. Longer middle toes are a breed characteristic and therefore not a fault. Nails light to dark gray. Pads well pigmented and coarse.
Hind: Tight and firm, without dewclaws, otherwise like the front feet
Weimaraner and Weimaraner Longhaired
Forefeet : Rounded with tight and well arched toes. The nails and the pads are dark in colour. Claws of inner toes must be removed.
Hind feet : Rounded, toes tight and well arched. The nails and the pads are dark in colour. Dewclaws must be removed.
Wirehaired Slovakian Pointer
Round, with tight well arched toes, thick tough pads which are not small compared to leg bone. Webbing and feathering present between toes for swimming.
Nails: Black or dark brown
