Anorexia
A
- BMI 17 or less
- Loss of at least 15% total body weight
- Low sodium, low potassium, low chlorine, elevated carbon dioxide
- Hypothermia, Bradycardia, Lanugo
- Distended abdomen, decreased bowel sounds

Bulimia
A
- Most prevalent eating disorder
- Later onset than anorexia
- More at risk for suicide
- Eating behavior is ego-dystonic
- Death from hypokalemia or suicide
- Binge/purge at least once a week for three months
- Low sodium, low potassium, low chlorine, elevate4d carbon dioxide, Metabolic alkalosis
- Tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension
- Sialadenitis, Russell’s sign: scars on knuckles, dental carries
- Esophagitis, gastritis, pancreatitis

Binge Eating Disorder
A
- Recurrent episode of one binge episode per week for 3 months

Eating Disorders Management
A
- Antipsychotics to restore weight: Olanzapine
- Anxiolytics: SSRIs
- No bupropion
- Vyvanse for Binge eating; Wellbutrin/Naltrexone
- Hospitalization: BMI less than 16, Bradycardia less than 50 BPM, orthostatic hypotension, electrolyte abnormalities
