what PE exams may you perform on a pt with fatigue and what are you looking for?
Vitals: fever
Skin: jaundice, pallor, dryness, rash
Eyes: diabetic retinopathy, scleral icterus
Throat: goiter, petechia, exudates
Lymph nodes: note distribution
CV: murmurs, hemorrhagic petechiae
Pulm: consolidation, rales
Abdomen: organomegaly, masses, ascites
- Rectal exam: occult blood
Breast & prostate exam
Neuro/psych: full exam
what are important labs you may want to order to work up a pt with fatigue?
CBC (+iron study)
CMP
UA
TSH (+lipid panel)
