- Romeo and Julietâs deaths are foretold in the prologue.
- âStar-crossâd loversâ- their destiny was decided by the stars, their deaths at the end of the play were pre-destined and weâre presented with this idea of fate at the very beginning.
- They were destined to die from the beginning, their fateful end was pre-destined by their love.

The Friar blames fate for this, âunhappy fortuneâ as he knows it shall be dangerous and end badly.

Juliet has a feeling of fear, she feels something may go wrong and this foreshadows how it does, their death is presented as predestined as it is foreshadowed throughout the whole play.

Romeo views banishment as so painful he feels death would be merciful and he would be better off dead as then he wouldnât have to suffer the pain of not seeing Juliet.
Foreshadows how he ends up drinking poison when he thinks Juliet is seas to be with her in death.
