Complex Regional Pain Syndrome:

A
  • Nerve injury
  • Spontaneous pain that begins in extremity and extends proximally
  • Thermography will show coolness of extremity
  • Stage 1: acute; limb edema
  • Stage 2: dystrophic; limb becomes cool
  • Stage 3: atrophic; pain spreads proximally and irreversible atrophic changes and contracture

  • Syndrome -> many symptoms
  • Widespread MSK pain
  • Fatigue
  • Central Sensitization -> Facilitation
  • Multiple Tender points
  • R/o sleep apnea and repetitive limb movement as cause
