Stabilisation of the sex drive, reproduction of the next generation, socialisation of the young and meeting the members economic needs
What is meant by stabilisation of the sex drive?
When two partners are stabilising each others sex drive it prevents a social disruption caused by a sexual free for all
What is meant by reproduction of the next generation?
The production of the next generation to ensure that society continues
What is meant by socialisation of the young?
We primary socialise children into our shared norms and values to ensure they behave in the appropriate manner

Providing food and shelter for those in your family

The marxists believe we’re in a conflict society which is defined by the bourgeoisie and the proletariat.

The idea that wealth will always stay within the bourgeoise family and the proletariat will never have the opportunity to experience wealth

The idea that inequality is inevitable and we socialise today’s generation to believe that meaning we will never break the cycle
What is meant by unit of consumption?
How people are exploited to work and how much they spend on expenses and products which are advertised to families
What do feminists say about the family?
They believe change is in progress and we are now experiencing fairer families and less gender gaps

The believe we are all manipulated by society into doing what we think they’d want
