A
develop before age 10–>family history, jaundice, abdominal pain–>inflamed pancreas–>diabetes
skin xanthomas on elbows, knees, hands–>skin absorbs chylomicrons
enlarged organs–liver,spleen bc body tries to get rid of excess fat–>accumulates in liver/spleen
–>develop atherosclerosis

no treatment as of yet; minimize eating fat so CMs don’t build up
