What investigations should be considered after a fall?
A
Bloods - FBC, B12, glucose, HbA1c, TFTs, U+Es
ECG
EEG
Imaging - CT head, ECHO, x-ray of possible fractured bones
Lying / standing BP
Screen for infection
Testing of visual, hearing and vestibular function
DEXA scan

What are the potential complications of falls?
A
- Fractures e.g. hip fracture
- Head injury
- Distress
- Pain
- Loss of self-confidence
- Reduced quality of life
- Loss of independence
