What is discrimination and what would be Australian and global examples?
Refers to the unfair treatment towards a person or group due to their characteristics, background or beliefs. Discrimination against Indigenous people would be an Australian example as a non-Indigenous employer could not hire someone mainly due to their race. A more general example would be bullying in school due to someone’s gender and emitting inappropriate jokes.
