yuille and cutshall 1986 field experiment
- shop owner shoots a thief and kills him
- 13/21 witnesses agreed to take part in the study
- interviewed 4-5 months after actual event
results:
- not much change in accuracy about colours/height/weight/age.
- those who recorded higehr stress levels on a 7 point scale were 88% accuate to thsoe who recorded lower stress levels werre 75% accurate
yerek dodson law 1908 (inverted u)
- deffenbacker 1983 applied it to EWT
- too little anxiety and recall is low
- too much anxiety and recall declines again
positive effects of anxiety?

-increase alertness
-improves memory
limiation:
pickel 1998
