Q

Substrate concentration

A

Increase substrate. Concentration increases rate of reaction because that are more collisions between active sites and substrate. More enzyme substrate complexes are formed per unit of time. That will come the concentration at which any increase in substrate, concentration will not increase rate of reaction. Because the number of active sites are now limiting number of enzymes substrate complexes.

Q

Enzyme concentration

A

Enzyme concentration will increase rate reaction because more collisions will happen at active site. It does plateau because there comes an amount where enzyme concentration increase will not increase rate of reaction. Max rates is called Vmax plateau because enzyme concentration becomes limiting factor as there aren’t enough substrate for the number of active sites

Q

Temperature

A

As temp increases rate, reaction increases more kinetic, energy, more successful cushions between active sites of enzymes and substrates. enzyme substrate complexes form continues up to the optimum temperature

Q

Temperature above optimum temperature

A

As temp increases above optimum temperature rate of reaction decreases rapidly enzymes have very precise tertiary structures which are held together by different types of bonds when molecules have too much kinetic energy enzymes vibrate so much bonds are broken and Toreey structure of enzyme active site changes shapes, it’s no longer complimentary known as denatured.

Q

P H

A

Enzymes have an optimum pH where the concentrations of H plus and OH minus allow all hydrogen and element bonds to form correctly to hold the tertiary structure in place. Concentration disrupts the hydrogen ionic bonds between amino acid dog groups therefore enzyme tertiary structure, changes, therefore active site or no longer be complimentary to substrate so a reaction decreases
