Normative social influence
A
The influence that leads a person to conform to social norms, based on the need for social acceptance and approval. Usually associated with a change in public, but not private behaviour. This links to Asch study as the true participants answered wrongly on purpose to not set themselves out from the confederates and to gain approval.

Informational social influence
A
Usually occurs when a person lacks knowledge or is unsure of a situation, and looks to the group for guidance. Happens when the person believes the majority are right, and is based on the desire to be right.
