B-blockers- names
timolol, carteolol, levobunolol, mentipranolol, betaxolol (preferred in patients with asthma or COPD)

transient ocular stinging, conjunctivitis, photophobia, dry eyes, systemic effects - brady
B-blockers - contraindications
HF, AV block, brady, cardiogenic shock
Prostaglandin (Lanaprost/Xalatan) - use
open angle glaucoma and ocular HTN

well tolerated - awesome eyelashes, increased eye pigmentation, possible blurred vision, stinging, macular edema
alpha - adrenergic agonist - names
apraclonidine (short term), brimonidine (long term)
brimonidine (Alphagan) - uses
decreased IOP, may delay nerve degeneration, protect retinal neurons

dry mouth, ocular hyperemia, blurred vision, foreign body sensation

give 15 minn before putting in contacts
pilocarpine (muscarinic agonist) - use
contracts cilary muscle, 2nd line for open angle and emergency for closed angle

near vision, retinal detachment
Echothiophate (cholinesterase inhibitor) - use
contract ciliary muscle; last choice for glaucome

Dorzonalamide and Brinzoalamide - last choice for glaucoma or adjunct
