Sensitivity/Patch Test

A

A

Contra-indications

A

● Bacteria/Fungal/Viral diseases:
● Conjunctivitus
● Stye
● Blepharitis
● Impetigo

Restrict

● Mild excema/psoriasis

Contra-actions

● If this occurs the eye will need flushing with cold water to remove the product

After Care

A

● No make up for up to 24 hours
● Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours
● No further eye treatments for 24 hours
● Avoid sun/UV light for 24-48 hours
● Return in 2-3 months (6 weeks absolute minimum)
● Use oil-free eye make up remover

Treatment Techniques

A

● Rods – select size/bend to fit contour of eye
● Eye shield – protect lower lashes
● Adhesive – apply to rod and place on eyelid, closest to lash line, then apply adhesive to top of rod
● Using Lash Lifting Tool – carefully lift lashes onto rod (do not rush this, it is vital the lashes don’t overlap)
● Apply Perm Lotion with cotton bud – cover eyes with flannel covered in tissue
● Remove excess after 12-14 mins with cotton bud)
● Apply Lifting Lotion with cotton bud – cover eyes and leave on for same amount of time as Perm Lotion
● Remove Lifting Lotion as per Perm Lotion
● Apply Tint to lashes and leave on for 5/6 mins
● Remove Tint with cotton pads
● Apply Nourishing Lotion and leave on for same amount of time as Lifting Lotion
● Remove Nourishing Lotion as per Lifting Lotion
● Lift and remove rod carefully (client’s eyes to remain closed)

The Chemical Process

A

● Perm Lotion – softens cuticle
● Cuticle scales open
● Perm lotion enters cuticle and breaks down disulphide bonds
● Fixing Lotion causes oxidization, causing permanent fixing of hair in new shape by re-building disulphide bonds
