Extras: Lab Flashcards
where are anterior lumbar CS points: AL1-5?
AL1: medial to ASIS AL2: medial to AIIS AL3: lateral to AIIS AL4: inferior to AIIS AL5: superior pubic ramus
where are anterior lumbar CS points: psoas major, iliacus, low ilium, inguinal lig?
Psoas major: 2/3 from ASIS to midline
Iliacus: 1/3 from ASIS to midline
low ilium: superior pubic ramus
inguinal lig: lateral pubic tubercle
CS treatment: AL1, AL2-4, and AL5
AL1: ipsi, ankles + knees towards (F stRA)
AL2-4: contra, ankles + knees towards (F SART)
AL5: ipsi, knees towards + ankles away (F SARA)
psoas major CS treatment
ipsi, flex hips, ankles towards doc, external rotation
iliacus CS treatment
cross ankles, knees drop out for abduction
low ilium CS treatment
flex hip 90+ degrees
inguinal ligament CS treatment
cross contralateral knee on top of other, ankles towards doc
radial head posterior vs anterior
posterior = pronated anterior = supinated
fibular head posterior vs anterior
posterior = plantarflexed anterior = dorsiflexed (AbED)
how to Dx AA
fully flex C spine and rotate head, only dxing rotation
anterior thoracic CS points T1-6
T1: suprasternal notch
T2: sternal angle
T3-6: on sternum, same level as ribs
treatment for anterior thoracic CS tenderpoints AT1-6
flex neck
treatment for anterior thoracic CS AT7-9, 10-12
AT7-9: flex, ST, RA (seated, using torso)
AT10-12: flex, ST, RA (supine, using legs)
chapman points for esophagus
A: between rib 2-3 parasternal
P: lateral to T2 SP
stomach vs liver chapman points anterior and posterior
A: between rib 5/6, 6/7 at costochondral jxn (stomach left, liver right)
P: lateral to T5-6 SP (stomach left, liver right)
pancreas anterior vs posterior chapman point
A: between ribs 6-7 at costochondral jxn on the right
P: lateral to T7 SP on the right
gallbladder chapman points anterior and posterior
A: none
P: lateral to T6 on the right
SI chapman points A and P
A: between ribs 8-11 bilat at costochondral jxn
P: lateral to SP T8-10
appendix anterior chapman point
tip of 12th rib
intestine peristalsis chapman point
superior rib 11, medial to rib angle
in SI / indirect mesenteric release, what do you pull towards
the mesenteric root
what regions are covered by celiac, superior mesenteric, and inferior mesenteric ganglia?
- celiac: distal esoph -> prox duoenum, liver, GB, spleen, some panc.
- superior mes: distal duodenum -> transverse colon, some panc
- inferior mes: descending colon -> rectum
spinal levels of the celiac, superior mesenteric, and inferior mesenteric ganglia
- celiac: T5-9
- superior mes: T10-11
- inferior mes: T12-L2
UPL5 vs LPL5 posterior lumbar tenderpoints
- UPL5: superior medial PSIS
2. LPL5: inferior PSIS
