- eight points on the dorsum of the hand proximal to the web margins between the digits (junction of red and white skin)

- arthritis of the hand
- Pain and swelling of the dorsum of the hand; numbness, spasms, and contracture of the fingers, finger joint pain or stiffness
- Excessive heat; swollen or sore throat, toothache, eye pain, swollen gums
- Stiffness of the neck, poisonous snake or spider bite (bleed locally for spider bite)

Luo Zhen {Stiff Neck} Indications
- acute neck pain
- Cervical spondylosis; stiffness and pain of the neck, inability to turn the head, headache
- Pain in the shoulder and arm
- Redness and swelling of the dorsum of the hand, numbness of and contracture of the fingers
- Indigestion, food stagnation in children (primarily)
