The leader of the Trojan Refugees, son of the goddess Venus, who was chosen by Jupiter to lead the Trojan survivors to Italy
Who was Dido?
Queen of Carthage. (A city being constructed in North Africa)
Who were to Dolopes and the Myrmidons?
The Myrmidons were a fierce group of soldiers who were loyal to Achilles.
The Dolopes were another fierce group of soldiers.
Who was Achilles?
The greatest of the Greek warriors.
Who was Ulysses and what was he known as to the Greeks?
The cleverest of the Greeks who thought up the idea of the Trojan Horse. He was the king of Ithaca and known to the Greeks as Odysseus.
How did Aeneas feel retelling the story of the war?
“Unspeakable Suffering”
How does he recall the Trojan War?
The pitiful horrors that he remembers with sadness, that he himself witnessed
How would other people react to this story?
Even the toughest of Dolopes or Myrmidons and the hard bitten Ulysses would weep hearing this story
