Why are code of ethics needed?
This allows workers to work to the best of their ability and work properly within the guidelines given. It also helps how workers will approach problems and uphold important values.
What are two other ethical issues apart from euthanasia?
Abortion and asylum seekers. Abortion is an ethical issue because people are taking the life of a person against their will, but it is argued that if the child was not aborted there standard of living would be low. Asylum seekers is an ethical issue as it is debated if they should beg ranted asylum in Australia or sent away to other countries.
What is the ethical decision making model
- Define the problem
- Determine all the relevant factors and collect all relevant factors
- Imagine all alternatives and their alternatives
- Evaluate each alternative in terms of your conscience core values and principles
- Consider what authorities are relevant to the decision.
- Eliminate unacceptable choices
- Select a response
- Implement the decisions
- Review the consequences
- Evaluate the process of decision making.
What are beliefs?
An acceptance that something exists or is real without physical proof.
What is a code of conduct?
A code of conduct is a set of rules outlining the social norms and rules and responsibilities of, or proper practices for, an individual, party or organization.
What are sacred texts?
Religious texts, also known as scripture, scriptures, holy writ, or holy books, are the texts which various religious traditions consider to be sacred, or central to their religious tradition. Many religions and spiritual movements believe that their sacred texts are divinely or supernaturally revealed or inspired.
What are the code of ethics?
A code of ethics document may outline the mission and values of the business or organization, how professionals are supposed to approach problems, the ethical principles based on the organization’s core values and the standards to which the professional will be held.
