Extra Immunity Notes Flashcards
Extra information about vaccination
Some b cells undergo clonal selection to process memory cells which can differentiate into plane cells and provide antibodies faster
It also takes time for B cells to be activated
Antibodies binding to chemical
Antibodies can bind to chemicals and undergo phagocytosis as normal
Stats test and p value
If you mention stats test mention if difference or correlation is significant
Is p value is below 0.05 the difference and or correlation is significant and the null hypothesis can be rejected
Phagocytosis
After phagocytosis the phagocytes present the pathogens antigens on their surface become APC which allows T cells to bind and become activated allowing for the celll medicated responce to undergo
Why do antibiotics not work on virus
Antibiotics are designed to inhibit the growth of bacteria by interfering with specific processes, such as cell wall which virus’s don’t have , and they don’t contain a murein cell wall either
