A

The Exterior Safety check is performed on every flight before entering the airplane to ascertain that no obviously unsafe condition exists.
1 - Check chocks in place.
2 - Check landing gear door position.
Warning - when any gear door is open, check that the respective door handle release is in the “doors open” position. If the handle is in the “doors closed” position and the doors are open, pressurizing hydraulic systems #1 and #4 will close the doors and can result in personal injury.
3 - Check APU fire control handle on APU Control Panel is in stowed position (unless APU is running).
4 - Check flight control surfaces position and condition.
5 - Check APU exhaust area clear (unless APU running).

Windshield Wiper Selector. OFF
Landing Gear Lever. DN
Flap Position Indicator and Flap Lever. AGREE
If not in agreement, position lever to agree with flap position
Alternate Flaps Selector. OFF
Weather Radar. TEST
Transponder. STBY
