Define copyright
Legal ownership of material such as music and films which prevents and protects these being copied by others
Define national minimum wage
Minimum pay per hour workers of school leaving age are entitled to by law and is reviewed yearly by the government. The rate for each age group in the UK is different.
Define national living wage
New minimum wage rate for those aged 25 or over.
Define trademark
A company can register a trademark for its business name, slogans, logos and other items that essentially brand the product or company/indicate the source of the good
Define contract law
A legally binding agreement between 2 or more parties

1985, ensures the correct labelling and indication of measurements on products

1998, is the control of personal information of employees and customers, any private details should be stored and held for lawful purposes. Held for limited time and kept securely.

Define FCA
Financial Conduct Authority - regulating organisation, aim to make financial markets work well so that customers get a fair deal (protect customers, enhance market integrity, promote competition)
