Structure

A

each stanze starts with a blunt, powerful statement with lots of emotive language following. But each stanza ends with an anti-climactic line. This echoes the anti-climactic nature of the war ( due to the weather?) It reflects nothing happening.
Pararhyme- knive us/nervous - makes us unsettled ( like the effect of war)
