Structure

A

lack of punctuation- makes it difficult to read and follow the poem. It’s a deliberate challenge which reflects how it is forced upon the reader like History was forced on the poet.
Rhyme- forces white and black figures together- eg Balloon, spoon, moon, Maroon- the rhyme climaxes on the most important person ie the black figure.
