Explanations: Ice and Rain Control Systems Flashcards

1
Q

How is the leading edge of a wing kept warm?

A

When the system is designed to deice the leading edge, much hotter air is supplied to the inside of the wing, but for shorter periods of time and in a cyclic sequence.
