Experiment 6-Equipotential Mapping Flashcards

1
Q

What is the purpose of this experiment?

A

To measure equipotential lines to then infer the configuration of electric field lines emanating from different charges.

Q

What does teledeltos paper allow us to do?

A

Small amounts of charge can flow along the direction of a local electric field, making it neither an insulator or a conductor, but a semiconductor.
Potentials around conducting shapes (electrodes) will be visualized and measured.
