- The design argument

What is the design argument?
Everything that god designed fits a purpose
What is a miracle?
A seemingly impossible event that cannot be explained by natural or scientific laws.
What is the first cause argument?
Everything happens because of another things. There must be an uncaused cause otherwise there would be nothing
What is revelation?
God revealing himself to you
What are the two types of revelation?
- Special revelation
- General revelation
What are the two types of evil?
- Natural evil
- Moral evil
What is special revelation?
God communicating with you directly.
E.g hearing his voice when you pray/dream
What is natural evil?
The things wrong with creation
E.g natural disasters
What is general revelation?
Indirect revelation. God revealing himself through something other than himself. E.g nature
What is moral evil?
The things humans choose to do wrong. E.g murder, robbery
What is nature?
The physical world. Plants, animals, landscape etc.
What is suffering?
Where people have to face or live with unpleasant events/ conditions
What is an omnipotent God?
An all powerful God
What is an omniscient God?
An all knowing God
