What’s the national security council?

A

Responsibility for national security and foreign policy
It’s formed by the president, vice president, secretary of state, secretary of defence and national security advisor
In addition to the military advisors and intelligence advisers will participate on a regular basis

A

The WHO as a department in executive office is the white house cheif it staff, the office is ultimately made up on assistants of the president who oversee policy, political matters and above all work to protect the interest of the president

A

The OMB is the largest department within the executive office, its main responsibility is to produce the budget, it will oversee all the financial aspect of the implantation of the presidents addenda, finally it will also added the effectiveness of govt programme

What are executive orders?

A

•Presidents have the constitutional responsibilities to ensure that the laws are faithfully executed
•Means that presidents can more or less vigourasly pressure the objective of particular legislation
•E.g. Kennedy and Johnson wished to support civil rights legislation, Regan and Bush didn’t support affirmitave action
•These decisions don’t need congress iona approval unless they require congressional appropriations (money spent)
•Presidents have issued over 13,000 executive orders, one recent example was the imposition of tariffs on steel imports imposed by George W Bush in 2002
