A
convey urine from the renal pelvis to the bladder. Roughly25-30 cm, depending upon the height of the person and kidney position.

pear shaped

What is the function of the bladder?
A
that temporarily stores 500-1000mls of urine

What is the bladder lined with?
A
lined by transitional epithelium. Opening to the urethra is guarded by sphincter muscles.

Describe the tube of the urethra
A
narrow tube from bladder to the exterior

What does the urethra tube allow?
A
allows micturition, sphincters control urination

What is the difference of male and female urethra tube?
A
is longer in males than females 18-20cm and 3-4cm
