To remove metabolic waste from the body and to regulate the body’s fluids.

What is kidney failure
when the kidney looses the ability to remove waste from the blood
if a person gets kidney failure what could happen?
- harmful substances can build up in the body which could poison them
- blood pressure will increase
- excess fluid is retained
Treatments of kidney failure
- Dialysis ( a- kept alive, d- quality of life is bad)
- kidney transplant (a- quality of life is good, d- not many kidneys & body could reject kidney)
what is a bladder infection caused by?
Bacteria
why are bladder infections more common in females than male
Females have a shorter urethra than males and it is closer to the vagina and anus which makes it easy for bacteria to enter.
what are kidney stones?
Crystals that are formed when there is too little fluid in the urine and too much waste. the crystals can move down the utters where they can get stuck and cause pain.
