is a list of data arranged in rows and columns. The primary purpose of organising data in a spreadsheet is to express the relationship between sets of numeric data.

Range is a selection of one or more cells. You would need to select a cell and drag it over any numbers of cells to create a range
how to select a range?
-Click and drag over the cells
-Release mouse and cell will be shaded
-Multiple cells appear in a box with a border
difference between absolute and relative cell reference
If you want one or more cell references not to be adjusted or to be absolute
