Example Q & A Flashcards
“Don’t waste your time. I’m not sick. I would KNOW if I had COVID-19”
I’m glad to hear you’re feeling well. I also want to make sure you’re properly cared for if you do get sick
“I’m not falling for it. There’s no reason for me to go into quarantine when I feel just fine.”
I understand these recommendations may seem restrictive. Our goal is to keep you healthy and prevent others from getting sick
“If I’m not sick, how could I get anyone else sick? That doesn’t make sense”
You might not have any signs of illness right now, but you could still have an infection. I can understand how that might be confusing.
“Okay, can I call you back? This is a lot for me, and I really don’t want to talk about it right now.”
I’ll be happy to give you a call at a time that’s more convenient. Can I try again tomorrow around this same time?
“I’m not going to tell you anything”
I can tell that you are upset, and it’s pretty common for people to feel that way. What concerns do you have?
“I just don’t appreciate you prying into my life. Isn’t this an invasion of my privacy?”
This can feel scary and also invasive at times. That said, my goal is to help you and make sure you have the support you need during this time
“I’m just…nervous that I might have put people in danger. And I don’t want them to think that I did…”
I hear your concern. This virus can affect anyone, and its not your fault. We also have policies in place that will protect your confidentiality.
“What about my husband? I heard this can be really bad for people my age…”
One of the reasons I want to chat with you is to hear how you’re doing, and to make a plan for how we can keep you, your husband, and others safe.
