A pivot chart does the same thing as a pivot table, except that it also creates a chart out of the numbers within the table.

ex: course grades
Participation 5% Grade 90%
Assignment 25% Grade 75%
Midterm 30% Grade 60%
Final Exam 40 % Grade x%
Final Grade =sumproduct(weight range:weight range)(grade range:grade range)
To figure out what your final grade will be, fill in the last grade x cell, and if your final grade cell if formatted properly with =sumproduct, you will be presented with an accurate number.
Data tab -> What if Analysis -> Goal seek
Set cell: Final grade% cell
To value: (what you want this value to be) = 80%
By changing cell: Final exam grade% = 98
