Define: Renarcotization

A

When half life of agonist drug is longer than that of antagonist (reversal) drug. Animal will recover but will become sedate again once reversal wears off. Therefore, reversal agent should have similar or longer duration of action compared to anesthetic agent.

A

Anesthetics cause VD & hypotension

NSAIDs (both COX 1 & 2) Impair defense mechanism of kidneys in case of a hypotension.
