What is Anorexia Nervosa?
Restriction of energy intake, leading to significantly low body weight
What are the two subtypes of anorexia nervosa?
Binge eating/purging and restricting
What group is anorexia nervosa most common in?
adolescent girls
What are the physical signs/symptoms of anorexia nervosa?
osteoporosis and lowered body temperature
What is associated with anorexia nervosa?
disturbance in how one’s body weight or shape is experienced, persistent lack of recognition of the seriousness of current low body weight
What is bulimia nervosa?
recurrent episodes of binge eating in combination with recurrent inappropriate compensatory behaviors to prevent weight gain
Does bulimia nervosa or anorexia nervosa have the lower risk of mortality?

A psychological disorder characterized by a pattern of drug use leading to distress and/or significant impairment in functioning
What is tolerance?
the diminished response to a drug after repeated exposure to it
What are the cognitive factors of additive disorders?
based on the premise that how a person interprets a situation influences the decision to use a drug
What is formication?
sensation of having ants or bugs crawling all over the body. Type of alcohol hallucination
What is delirium tremens?
disorientation, severe agitation, high blood pressure and fever

pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration from other and lack of empathy
What is borderline personality disorder (B)?
pervasive pattern of unstable relationships, self-image, affect and impulsivity. Deep fear of abandonment with high risk for suicide and self-harm
