US neutrality works as they weren’t gonna Outley take sides but they were going to sell to people who wanted it particularly in this example if France or the UK wanted supplies or needed supplies this could also go for anyone they just had to pay the US and Also come pick it up. So remain neutral, and acted as a merchant. There were many acts just for the neutrality the neutrality act of 1935 prohibited. The sale of US made weapons to nations at war so we wouldn’t be involved in conflict overseas and the neutrality act of 1936 prohibited US banks from loaning money to nations at war, also to help us avoid conflict.
