Q

why must we always speak about God in a metaphorical language?

A

•things in the world are either revealed or concealed (but not at the same time)
•we are either present or distant (but not at the same time)
• God is different!
• Talking about God requires us to stretch our language from literal and direct to metaphorical in order to better explain such a complex God

Q

talk about three ways Israel was to live out their consecration to God; why did they stand out to you?

A

• Revering Parents
God expects us to respect our parents deeply because once the time has come to have a relationship with God, we will have also a deep respect or reverence for Him as well.

•leaving unharvested crops for the poor so they can have food
In this we are taught to have grace with those that have less than we do

•Avoiding Hate
We are taught to not hate anyone because with the love we have for God, we should not be able to be so angry with another, but act in peace
